CityChurch Network is relational network of Christ-followers seeking to unite churches in the way of Christ for the wellbeing of our cities.

About us

Imagine a Flourishing City (Isaiah 65:17-25):

Children are thriving

Economic opportunity for all

Productive employment

Property ownership

Physical and Mental Illness have been eliminated

 People live long productive lives

Safety and Security

Sadness and crying replaced by joy and happiness

That’s not where we are… We are all affected by the increasing pain and brokenness in our cities

Many are disillusioned because of fragmented and ineffective efforts that fail to bring significant change. But… Together We Can Build a Flourishing City. What if we could work together for significant change? What if our community was working together with a common vision, best practices, measurable outcomes, and alignment toward significant change.

That is why CityChurch Network exists.

Building on the foundation of a twenty-year movement of prayer and serving our city, CityChurch Network is a multi-denominational, multi-ethnic, relational network uniting churches in Christ through extraordinary prayer, trained leaders, and collective impact.

Extraordinary prayer is prayer that is increasing, unceasing, and persevering. We unite churches through an annual pastor’s prayer summit, our One Voice City-wide evenings of Prayer, our Arkansas Prays 24/7 Church Prayer Initiative and Leader Prayer Groups.

More than just leadership training, churches need trained leaders. CityChurch Network connects churches with a church-based, sustainable, and scalable approach to train their leaders.

CityChurch Network seeks to unite churches in Collective Impact Initiatives informed by research, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and focused for greater impact.

Responding to the critical need to improve third grade reading proficiency, CityChurch Network birthed AR Kids Read in the Spring of 2012 as 65 tutors from ten churches provided the backbone of tutors that served one hour a week to help one hundred twenty 2nd and 3rd graders to improve reading proficiency in 8 elementary schools in the LRSD and NLRSD school districts.

From that initial beginning, AR Kids Read has become a community wide effort of churches, businesses and community organizations. In addition to the 25 official “partner” churches, more than 85% of the 400 tutors are connected with a local church. Serving across racial, denomination, and geographic lines, a united church is helping to transform Central Arkansas one child at a time.

Having been a Prayer Summit participant for about 18 years, I have come to anticipate this experience as one of the highlights of my year. During this time, my association with the CityChurch Network in general, and the Prayer Summit in particular, has profoundly influenced my approach to prayer, ministry, and life.

Largely influenced by this framework, I have woven a variety of prayer practices into the fabric of my life and ministry that have set me on a much healthier, spiritually vital, Christ-dependent, and empowered trajectory.

I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me

— Jesus (John 17:20-21 ESV)
