Flourishing Families in Schools

Every day, families in our city face challenges no one should bear alone—parents working paycheck to paycheck, children falling behind in school, fatherless homes, and rising rates of depression and loneliness. Without support, many families feel isolated and unsure of where to turn for help.

Imagine communities across Arkansas where every student has a caring mentor to help them excel academically, build praiseworthy character, and find positive connections in the community. Imagine every family supported by a church community, ready to offer guidance and resources whenever needed.

This is the vision of Flourishing Families in Schools.

Thanks to 43 active church-school partnerships, these families no longer carry their burdens alone. Through mentoring, tutoring, and wrap-around support, students and families find the guidance, resources, and encouragement they need to thrive.

The Flourishing Families in Schools initiative unites, equips, and mobilizes churches to partner with public schools to strengthen families through:

Family support opportunities

Student mentoring

Family-to-family connections

A Flourishing Families in Schools Church-School Partnership is an intentional relationship where CityChurch Network, the local church, and a school work together to serve the families in that school.

Through these partnerships, we envision a future with:

Higher student reading scores

Higher graduation rates

Fewer discipline issues in schools

Reduced family crises

Lower crime rates

True community transformation

This model church-school partnership model makes it easy to start a partnership. Simply start with any of the three focus areas and build deeper relationships with students and families.

Together, we will see God glorified as churches unite to make a lasting impact and meet vital community needs.
