Monthly Prayer Guide
CityChurch Network publishes this monthly prayer guide as a helpful tool to promote agreement in prayer among churches and small groups across Arkansas. Please partner with us in prayer for Arkansas by taking time to pray through this prayer guide and apply it to the areas of need in your life and community.
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound… to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified. They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations. – Isaiah 61:1-4
Lord, let this prayer be true of us, our families, and our communities. We approach Your throne with confidence asking…
… That our community would be saturated in the good news of Jesus.
- Bind up our brokenness in our families, churches, and community.
- Proclaim liberty for the captives of sin and oppression.
- Restore and redeem where our enemy has plundered.
… That we would be oaks of righteousness for the community.
- Make us and our churches a place of stability and influence.
- Give us strong roots of love and unity that withstands any storm.
- Put the beauty of Jesus at the center of our lives and churches.
… That you would restore the devastation in our community.
- Heal the historic wounds that still pain our community today.
- Release a great rebuilding movement in our fallen places.
- Restore the generational damage of our sin and divisions.
… That you would revive us!
- We ask for an undeniable restoration work of God in our city.
- Fill our churches with this good news of Jesus’ Kingdom.
- Showcase your redemptive power through your united people.
In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen!
